It was a true celebration at our house when Cate finally gave us a doe kid. Celebration is everything we could have hoped for. She is long and tall, sharp and dairy, very much resembling Cate when she was a young doe. The Bode daughters are just outstanding. They are all so correct...like peas in a pod!
Celebration matured into a beautiful yearling, with so much strength and power and tremendous general appearance. This spring she freshened with a gorgeous udder, high and wide in the rear with a long, smooth extended fore, and just a tremendous area of udder attachment. Now we have the complete package and we could not be happier with her! Celebration was 4th place Senior Yearling at the 2012 National Show, part of the Bode 4th place Jr. Get of Sire and our 3rd place Best 3 Junior Does.
Celebration earned her dry leg with a BJDIS win, and finished her championship this season, making her a 6th generation GCH!! She has easily become one of our favorites!
Celebration is proving herself to be an amazing brood doe, with 3 beautiful Avalanche daughters that all freshened with spectacular udders. She freshened in 2018 with a single kid and for an older girl we thought looked darn good, so we decided to take her out to the show. We are sure glad we did. She was 3X BOB, 3X BDIS, part of our first place undefeated dam and daughter with Party, and part of our undefeated dairy herd!
Celebration continued to short cycle last fall and then just stopped, and ended up not bred. We were sure disappointed especially at her age, but as soon as she cycles we are trying again! She will be bred to Marco, with fingers crossed!!
