Thank you for your interest in our dairy goat herd. We have been raising dairy goats since 1980, our first goats being a 4-H project for our youngest son, Richie. Our herd consisted strictly of Nubians until 1988 when we added our first LaMancha doe. It didn't take long for them to steal our hearts and take over the entire barn! Our herd now consists totally of LaManchas. This is our 35th year on DHIR test, and we have had the top milk and butterfat LaMancha in the state of Colorado for the past 30 years.

We have been on a strict CAE prevention program since 1988, and we will continue to do so because it works! Every kid is taken at birth - every birth is attended! All our kids are raised on heat treated colostrum and bottle fed pasteurized milk. In addition the entire herd is vaccinated for tetanus and entero and dewormed regularly. We feed the highest quality alfalfa available, a 16% protein grain mix, and free choice of salts and minerals.

Once again this year has been very good to us, despite a few bumps in the road again. We had yet another summer of extreme heat. We are very thankful that all the animals tolerated it really well. I have never wished for air conditioning as much as I did this summer! We are enjoying beautiful fall weather right now and we are loving it!

This was another fun and exciting year for us. Not only were there shows, we were even able to appraise and were pretty pleased with the scores. Avery finished her championship, Ivy and Vixen each got a GCH leg. Vixen needs just one more to finish! Piper our dry yearling was pretty hot in the show ring too. We added 2 beautiful and exciting bucks to our herd, and we could not be more pleased with them!

The following sales list offers prices on kids available for the 2023 kidding season. In order to get the herd to a more manageable size for me to care for, we are again planning to sell more milkers after they have freshened and the majority of our kid crop will be offered for sale. Extended milk records are available on request.

A $100.00 deposit is required on all orders, with the balance due upon notification of birth. If the balance is not received within 2 weeks the kid will be offered to someone else. We do reserve the right to our choices of replacement animals, so, if possible, please select a first and second choice kid. If both choices of kids are unavailable, your deposit is refunded. NO refunds of deposits on canceled orders. For animals ordered after birth we do not guarantee these prices. We will take deposits on bucks out of first fresheners, but must make our final decision on that sale after the doe has freshened. We will not sell any kid unless we feel it is of outstanding quality. This does not mean that all kids sold will be grand champions, but should compete well. If any animal is found to be genetically unsound or infertile it will be replaced, contingent upon receiving a vet's signed statement that the problem was of genetic origin. All shipping costs and health certificates are the buyer's responsibility.

Thank you to all of the breeders who purchased animals from us in 2022. Our website is now up to date with all the current information for our herd. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
